There are several off lease laptops available if you’re interested in getting one. The beauty of these is that they’re more thank likely well under $500, and if you search really hard you can find them even below $400 or $300 if you’re extremely lucky. Now I know what you’re probably thinking. You’re probably imagining that it would be impossible to get a quality model for that price, but don’t be so sure about it. The fact of the matter is that prices are going down as quality is going up, that’s just the way it is. Just look at hard drives for example. They used to be extremely expensive for only a small amount of memory, and now you can get Gigabytes for very cheap. In fact, the cheapest are under $5.
It’s great that advancing technology allows companies like Acer, Toshiba, and HP to do things like this. And then Lenovo comes along with their fantastic Thinkpad and the game is changed even further. Compaq is trying to follow suit along with Sager and Gateway, but I believe they’re not doing it fast enough. However, if you don’t like the prices you see at the store, try getting a refurb model. Oftentimes these are even better than the ones you can purchase brand new, because they have been cleaned out and tested to make absolute sure they perform. It’s really a great system.
Now, when you want to buy one of these off lease laptops for sale, it’s important that you keep several things in mind. The first is that you can get excellent discounts at wholesale stores like Costco. They have new and used notebooks and desktops for whatever situation you might find yourself in. They have second hand models that have been passed down too, though your best bet to find those would be on Craig’s List or a garage sale. Keep searching though, because the fantastic deals are out there. They really are, and when you snatch one up, it will really be worth it.
Whatever you do, though, don’t spend too much money. That’s the beauty of the off lease models. They’re a very powerful PC but yet they aren’t too expensive. The reason you don’t want to spend too much money is because they are outdated after a few years. They continually improve technology so it isn’t smart to put all your eggs into one basket. It’s just not the best plan. Keep on your toes, and you’ll be very glad you did!
